Porphyra’s Book of the Tower.

Archon’s Song, which was something like a long but feather-light scroll with the power to talk to the gods and turn mortal magics into immortal magic.

Porphyra’s group climbed to the 14th floor in search of Archon’s Song

Archon’s Song: artifact that makes Mortal magic into Immortal Magic & power to talk to the Immortals! Owned by the Drakons of Durnin. Song-Keeper reads it occasionally

Scellomi, advisor to king of Durnin. In Porphyra’s party.

OUR KEY:  it opens the door unofficially named “Giant’s Menagerie” (or sometimes “God’s Menagerie“), because the opening room/hallway consists of giant-sized animals in display jars. It’s on the list of the 13 lesser portals that you’ve collected information on (from Al’s long-lost “mother”). Between that and Droka’s information you have about as much prior information as anyone could hope for, which is not much. Droka knows how to get to two useful destinations that are within three or four rooms of the entrance: a pool with a giant fish skeleton that has mild healing properties, and a curtained room with statues in it. Somewhere in the vicinity is a curtained room with a huge book that, when given to a child in a certain stage of development, guarantees the child will grow up with max intelligence. That book is what Droka and his party were most interested in. He also knows about a couple of secret doors and a hellish trap.
