BC Unknown – 11,000*: Age of Dragons, no spheres

BC 11,000* – 9800*: Transition to the Age of Giants

Multiple alliances with four gradually absorbing and defeating the others, by allying themselves with elemental planes. The four become the spheres of Air, Earth, Fire and Water.

BC 9800* – 5500: Age of Giants

At some point, the Four Spheres stop calling themselves by their elemental names and instead call themselves the spheres of Thought, Matter, Energy and Time.

BC 5500 – 5000*: Transition to the Age of Humanity

Human gods of Yaneh unite humans and demi-humans to cast off the chains of their giant oppressors. Establish an immortal alliance called the Rebellion League (a.k.a. “the Rebel Sphere”).

BC 5000*: Age of Humanity Begins

The Four Spheres now include several human and demi-human gods, officially recognize the Rebellion Alliance as the Sphere of Tranformation.

BC 4000*: First Alphatian Empire Founded (Cluster)

The Alphatian peoples conquer the Cyprian Empire and establish their own in its place (using a great deal of Cyprian customs, institutions and magic)

BC 3700* - 3000: Peak Blackmoor Civilization (Prime)

Dramatic developments in magic. Ends abruptly with great bursts of radiance, called the Great Rain of Fire. Sphere of Transformation now called the Sphere of Entropy (it's not clear when this became official).

BC 3500*: Alphatian Expansion (Cluster)

Immortals of Thought fill space between planets with air. Alphatians begin to colonize other planets.

BC 3000 – 2650*: Ice Age (Prime)

BC 1500* – 500: Nithian Empire (Prime)

Rediscovers Blackmoor magic, experiments with undeath. Ended abruptly by the gods, who erase it from the map and from history.

BC 1200: Beast-man Wars (Prime)

BC 1020* – 1000: Great Alphatian Civil War (Cluster)

Emperor Alphaks I sides with Followers of the Flame. Followers of Air reject his authority and go to war.

BC 1000: First Alphatian Empire Destroyed (Cluster), Landfall (Prime)

Heart of the Alphatian Empire destroyed. Surviving Alphatians relocate to the Prime Plan. Followers of the Flame move to Glantri; Followers of Air move to what’s now called the Alphatian Continent, where they establish the Second Alphatian Empire.

AC 0: Empire of Thyatis Established

Thyatians fight Alphatians to a draw and win recognition of their nation, along with several allies that joined them in rebellion. First emperor of Thyatis crowned, who then conquers and colonizes former allies.
